The Killian Hill Youth Ministry exists to REACH unbelieving teenagers with the gospel of Christ, to help them GROW in their faith toward Christ-like maturity, to EQUIP them to find and do the work of the ministry, and to CONNECT them with other Christian teenagers in an atmosphere that HONORS God.

1.  REACH unbelieving teenagers

We are always looking for opportunities to reach out to our community and plan events and programs that encourage our teenagers to invite their unbelieving neighbors, classmates, and friends. Upcoming events will be posted here.

2.  GROW in their faith

Wednesday Nights & Sunday Mornings

On Wednesday nights, we meet from 7:00-7:30pm in our Youth Room (Bldg A) for prayer and a devotional, followed by a group game (7:30-8:00pm) either outside on the athletic field or inside in the gym (Bldg D). No one is required to play; you can come and just hang out if you want … but some of the more popular games include volleyball, floor hockey, soccer, battleball, ultimate frisbee, big ball volleyball, and glow-in-the-dark soccer & volleyball.

On Sunday mornings, we meet from 11:45am-12:30pm (immediately following the morning Worship Service) in the Youth Room (Bldg A) for a Bible study.

3.  EQUIP to find and do ministry

Summer Mission Trips

Each summer, we go on a foreign or domestic mission trip (or both). Previous mission trips have included Santa Cruz, Bolivia (2008 & 2011); Hualahuises, Mexico (2009 & 2010); Cedar City, Utah (2012); Ghana, West Africa (2013); Chincha, Peru (2015 & 2017); New York City (2016), and the Durham Rescue Mission in Durham, NC (2010, 2011, 2013, & 2014).

4.  CONNECT with Christian teens

The fourth purpose of our youth ministry is to encourage teenagers to develop God-honoring, iron-sharpening-iron friendships within the Body of Christ. We typically try to plan one major activity per month to allow our teenagers an opportunity to interact & build friendships in a fun environment. Below is the info for some of our upcoming youth events:

Wed, 4/12 – Bible Study & games (7-8pm)

Sun, 4/16 – NO Sunday School (Easter Sunday)

Wed, 4/19 – Bible Study & games (7-8pm)
